Anthem Life Insurance Supporting Our Disabled Service Men and Women
Anthem Life Insurance has always encouraged healthy lifestyles, but they are taking it a step further by supporting the Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project to assist severely injured service men and women as they rebuild their lives through athletics. The ski event in Tahoe, California was held last month according to the press release on PRNewsWire.
Pam Kehaly, the president of Anthem Blue Cross says this is the second year they have sponsored this inspiring event. She goes on to say this event is extremely exciting for participants as well as spectators. The Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project is a partnership between the Wounded Warrior Project and Disabled Sports USA. They provide year round programs for wounded military from Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Global War on Terrorism. This unique program helps these service men and women enjoy sports again in an exciting environment.
President and general manager of Anthem Life Insurance Company, Pat Murphy, says they are committed to helping people with disabilities find health again so they can go back to enjoying life. Their participation in such activities reinforces their belief in the importance of supporting heroes who give so much to our country. When these service men and women become disabled their lives change forever, but they should still have the option to enjoy full and active lifestyles and events like this help support such causes.
